Passr gives recyclers access to verified material composition, hazardous substance flags, and disassembly instructions through the product's Digital Product Passport — without contacting the brand.
You can't recover what you can't identify.
Effective end-of-life material recovery depends on knowing what a product is made of — precisely, not approximately. A jacket described as '80% polyester' on its care label does not tell a recycler whether the polyester contains PFAS, what the coating chemistry is, how the materials are bonded, or whether any components need to be separated before processing.
This data exists somewhere in the supply chain. It was collected when the product was designed and manufactured. But it has never had a reliable path to the recycler — because there was no standard for how to store it or how to share it at end of life.
ESPR's Digital Product Passport requirement changes this. The passport is designed to carry material data through the product's entire lifecycle — including to the recycler who processes it.
